Many of the clients I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. Some are navigating anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, or past experiences that continue to affect them today. Others are trying to understand how their brain works and how to build a life that feels more manageable and fulfilling.

Brandi Young specializes in mental health counseling for many different needs. The office accepts most major insurances as well as affordable self pay rates; however, does not currently accept any Medicaid plans.

Meet Your Provider

Hi, I am Brandi. I am a Licensed Social Worker who is passionate about helping people better understand themselves, navigate difficult seasons of life, and create meaningful change.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dogs, cooking and baking, and finding small ways to slow down and stay present in everyday life.

I am currently continuing my graduate training in social work and remain committed to ongoing learning so I can provide thoughtful, evidence informed care to the individuals and families I work with.

Provider Specialties

I have a particular passion for working with individuals with ADHD, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals navigating substance use or recovery. These experiences often come with unique challenges, and I believe therapy should be a place where you feel respected, affirmed, and safe to talk openly about what you are going through.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths based and grounded in curiosity. I do not believe therapy is about someone telling you what to do. Instead, it is about working together to better understand patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be getting in the way of the life you want. I focus on helping clients build self-awareness, develop practical coping tools, and create changes that feel realistic and sustainable.

I utilize a variety of modalities including CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), and ACT (acceptance commitment therapy) while practicing holistic person-centered treatment that addresses one’s overall wellness.

I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. Therapy can include serious conversations, meaningful reflection, and sometimes even a little humor along the way.

Brandi accepts patients in IL for telehealth with most insurance plans and self pay rates of $175 for initial appointment and $75 for follow ups.
