I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a background in education and a deep commitment to supporting children and adolescents as they navigate life’s challenges. I have been a teacher since 2009 and continue to work in education alongside my counseling practice. My experience in both classrooms and counseling settings allows me to understand the academic, social, and emotional pressures young people face from multiple perspectives.

My philosophy is simple: meet individuals exactly where they are. I believe growth begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. I approach each client with unconditional positive regard, creating a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment.

Whether I am working with students in a school setting or clients in counseling, my goal is to empower individuals with tools, insight, and confidence so they can move forward with resilience and self-understanding.

Meet Your Provider

Lauren and her husband live on their small family farm, where they are raising their four children, ages 21 to 10. Lauren’s personal and professional experiences have shaped her belief that every child deserves understanding, guidance, and the tools to navigate difficult moments.

Nurturing, listening, and supporting others has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Even at a young age, I found myself drawn to being a steady presence for those around me. Those early experiences shaped my ability to hold space with patience and empathy—qualities that continue to guide my work today. Life can be difficult to navigate, and I chose this profession because I want to help make that journey feel less overwhelming and more manageable.

Areas Of Expertise

My approach to working with children and adolescents is rooted in unconditional positive regard. I strive to create a space where clients know they are not defined by mistakes, diagnoses, or difficult seasons of life. By offering consistency, empathy, and nonjudgmental support, I help young people feel safe enough to explore their thoughts and emotions honestly. When clients experience acceptance without conditions, it builds trust, strengthens self-worth, and opens the door for meaningful growth. My role is not to “fix,” but to walk alongside them, helping them develop insight, resilience, and confidence in who they are becoming.

Lauren accepts patients in IL through telehealth with most insurance plans and self pay rates of $175 for initial appointment and $75 for follow ups.
